My dear friend Skye went to her schools formal tonight.  Skye came into my work the other night to ask if  I could do her nails for the dance.  I was so happy to be asked and booked her for Friday.  We created a special design for her special night.

Natural Nail Manicures

These are natural nails treated with Qtica's Natural Nail Strengthener! She comes every two weeks and has her nails manicured.  She uses the strengthener at home to maintain her nail growth.

This is what her nails look like after two weeks.  If you look closely you will see that after two weeks there are only a few chipped sides.  Home maintenance is key to beautiful nails.

I see shredded cuticles.  I see dry hands that if not treated will crack with the lovely change in weather.  I see a stressed nail biter.  I see nails picked or bit, so bad that the finger tips are sore.  I see these hands getting much worse if a plan of action does not take place.

What is the plan?

Manicure, pronto!

A Manicure will help address a few of the above mentioned sightings.  Filing the rough edges will help the appearance of the nails.  Soaking the finger tips in a warm bath will help moisturize and soften the cuticles so that they can be pushed back and dead tissue trimmed off. 

A hand massage with Pure Fiji or Epicuren's After Bath Moisturizer will be a beneficial addition.  A dip in Paraffin would be another treatment that would help these hands.  The heated Paraffin wax when applied over lotion helps seal in some moisture.

This manicure will be finished up with Qtica's Natural Nail Growth Stimulator.

Now the experiment...

The Client will be advised to follow the following regimen.

Use Qtica's Natural Nail Growth Stimulator. Apply one coat daily.

Nourish the cuticle area with Qtica's Solid Gold daily or as needed.

To help maintain moisture in dryed out hands use a rich hand cream or lotion.  Apply before you go to bed.  You and your hands need their Beauty Sleep!

Three simple things daily will have those hands looking better in no time.  Well, maybe a week or two.  Look for the next post in a week and then another in two.  Manicures can be performed on hands with acrylic enhancements.

Are You Thinking About Removing Those Acrylics?

There comes a time in any Woman's life when the acrylic nails just need to go. Be it financial, time constraints, your nails have been covered for years and you just want to see what your real ones look like...

Acrylic Removal can be painless and inexpensive. With the help of a glass or ceramic bowl, lots of paper towels, bottle of PURE acetone and a nail file your acrylic nail enhancements will be off in no time.

I recommend picking out a good movie. Protect your coffee table with a trash bag and soak those nails off. If your manicurist uses a gel coat you will need to file the coat off. If you don't the nails will not dissolve. The dissolving process will take a bit of time and many paper towels. As the acrylic softens use paper towel to rub the softened acrylic off. Use the file to remove some of the acrylic and soak again. Filing the acrylic helps to expedite the process. Continue those steps until your natural nail is revealed. Enjoy watching the movie and before the credits run, your acrylics nails will be gone.
